As a result, NYSE Euronext has begun to integrate amex.com content and data into the

. Effective the close of business, Friday, January 16, 2009, amex.com will be phased out.
Chicago Board Options Exchange - CBOE
Since the Chicago Board Options Exchange (CBOE) listed options business in 1973, it has been the leader in options volume every single year. In 2007, CBOE options contract volume was an all-time record of 944,471,924 contracts (up 40% over the previous year), average daily volume in CBOE options on indexes and ETFs was 1,766,921 contracts (a 56% increase over 2006). CBOE now offers more than 90 different index options contracts (including options on index ETFs and on cash-settled indexes). Since its introduction of S&P Index Options in 1983, CBOE's total volume in S&P options is more than 1.7 billion. In 2007, average daily volume for CBOE's S&P 500® options was a record 629,819 contacts (or about $90 billion in notional value per day).
