The latest episode in the China vs. Google saga seems to be unfolding. China is allegedly in discussions with technology super power Google to reconcile its dispute with the company. Obviously Google has threatened to abandon the Chinese market over hacking and censorship concerns...

In mid January Google decided that it would stop censoring its Chinese search engine in response to a "a highly sophisticated and targeted attack" aimed at stealing software code. The internet giant accused the Chinese government of breaking through its Gmail security in order go phish information from Chinese human rights activists. Of course the Chinese government was not exactly thrilled at Google’s threats and adamantly denied that accusations. Beijing’s response to the threat was a reiteration of the rules:
