6.0 Aftershock hits Haiti
Well to make matters worse, a 6.0 aftershock has Hit Haiti at around 630 AM this morning. Those who are attempting to aid the Western Hemispheres country are encountering a logistical nightmare. With no infrastructure in place such as hospitals, roads, usable sea ports, or power, Haiti will continue to get worse before it gets better. This earthquake was the straw that broke the camel’s back and from this Haiti will need to be rebuilt literally from the ground up all over again. 
Confusion in Copenhagen
A draft released by the U.N. at the Copenhagen climate talks states that the Global greenhouse gas emissions should be cut by at least 50% 85% or 95% by 2050 compared with 1990.

Developed countries shall provide "adequate, predictable, and sustainable financial resources, technology and capacity-building" to support the developing world in its fight to climate change, it said.

*Stocks in Asia were generally weak. The Nikkei, Hang Seng and Shanghai all fell between 1.3% and 1.7%, and Australia was off by 0.7%. However European indexes are currently unchanged on the session and US stock futures are fractionally higher as I write.

British media identified the five sailors as Oliver Smith, Sam Usher, Luke Porter, Oliver Young and David Bloomer. Ahmadinejad’s administration is stating that they will prosecute the British nationals if they intend to violate the “national security” of Iran.

After weeks of averting the U.N.’s requests for Nuclear Power regulation, President Obama has decided that it is time to start outlining the possibilities of economic sanctions against Iran. Time is of the essence here as many officials are stating that the delay could be a cover for the concealment of nuclear weaponry development.
Final signature acquired on the Lisbon Treaty
The Czech President, Vlacav Klaus, has finally signed the Lisbon Treaty. After an 8 year battle, the European Union can finally change its governing structure, allowing for a more centrally controlled decision making process. The Czech Republic was the last of the 27 Nations to ratify the treaty.
